18 month

Vincent had his 18 month appointment this last week...and well we have alot to do. He weighs 21.4 lbs. Which they tell me is the 3% on the growth chart, and that his height hasn't really changed...which I am pretty sure they measured wrong..because his pants don't fit. Anyways we have to do 6 week weight/height checks now. Then because we are still having problems with numerous ear infections the last one lasting a month long..we have to go back to ENT and possible get new tubes..."T" shaped ones, and then they would check his adnoids again. If he is not sick with ear infections it seems to be someother cold or respiratory problems...so we are going back to the pulmonologist..and the allergy doctor for some more testing. On top of that he still gets dusky every once and awhile...sick or healthy and so we are going to do an ECHO to rule out anything is wrong with his heart. They think that will be normal...praying that it is. Dr. Paradis said that the pulmonology team may want a bronch to make sure he is not aspirating and causing these blue episodes. AND then if all of those test are negative and he is still having problems we may have to do an immunology workup. We want the test to be negative so bad, but at the same time we want an answer....so thats about it.

Well....we had a great weekend. Chris, Vincent and I attempted to take pictures on Saturday afternoon...it was...well...tiring. Vincent was on the move the whole time. We had to try and trick him or get quick pictures the whole time. He just wanted to run around...needless to say...we were not impressed with the pictures and are going to try and take them again later. So hopefully the next time will be a little better.
On Sunday we went to the ZOO with I think everyone else that lives in Omaha. Nana and Grandpa, Unkie Jacob and Aunt Carrie came to the zoo with us. Vincent was great. He was a happy little boy the whole time, he fell asleep before we got back to the rainforest and aquarium..so we will start there next time. He did like the gorillas for the brief time we got to see them. Next time we will not go on a holiday weekend.
On Monday...we went the lake and caught some rays....and now are paying for it. Chris and I are red red red...but luckily my million coats of sunblock to Vincent paid off. He is not red red red!! We had a great time. Vincent really seemed to like the water..he just walked right in..didn't even mind that it was a tad bit chilly. His girlfriend Kenadee and her family came and joined us for a couple of hours, I think he enjoyed having someone else to play with. Over all I think it was a great weekend.

The other day...last week....Vinny and I went to the circus in Fremont...I though I already posted this but evidently did not. We had an okay time...Vinny was good for most of the first half...then we went and rode on the pony during intermission..and never went back. It was dinner time..and he wanted out of there. Plus we didn't pay we had tickets already so it wasn't a big deal. Not bad for the first one.

Wonderful news!

Chris and I had our ultrasound to check the little one yesterday...everything looked great including her little girly parts...Yep we are having a GIRL!!! She is a little bit shy, and a little lady. We had a hard time getting her to want to mover her legs...she likes to keep them crossed...picture coming soon! But after several different attempts we were able to get a great view...she was a girl. So Vinny is going to be the big brother protector!
Other news happening that isn't so exciting...Vincent has another ear infection. He had one for two weeks, we had been giving drops and antibiotics...stopped them and less than a week later the dang ear started to drain again. Never fails...what's the cause...good question. So we are back on ear drops and a stronger antibiotic. Well the next day after visiting the doctor Vinny was very clingy and irritable, and had a mild temp...I just blamed it on the ears. Over the next couple days his fever got worse and he was a handful...we will just leave it to that. Chris was gone and patience were running low. Monday I took him back to the doctor for follow up. Informed them that he was only content for periods of time being held or rocked...which is so not my child. His temp keeps going up, he is irritable...etc...and that he was really only eating small amounts of banana here and there. After examination...he still has a bad ear infection...but also has hand mouth and foot disease. The worse part is in his mouth, I guess his throat is covered in red sores...that would explain. Poor guy when is he ever going to get a break.

This is a little late...but this past weekend was my brothers graduation from UNL (what a long ceremony with a little one). We went and stayed for the graduation and then to his apartment to have lunch and celebrate. We got there, started setting the food out...getting things ready and then decided to go take pictures before everyone arrived...so we did. Then all of a sudden Chris is like...we gotta go! I'm like...to get Jake drunk...get beer...WHAT?? He said just go upstairs and get the stuff...WHAT..hell no we just got here and haven't even had lunch. So he quickly eats while I am still sitting the food out. Then he basically says you have to eat now..so I eat...asking him to feed Vinny..which he tells me not to worry he is taken care of. So after eating...we leave. My family said it was okay so I knew something might be going on..but was pissed and sad that I couldn't spend time with them. We get on the road..and I am wondering how is Vinny going to eat. He tells me he had some snacks and anyways its nap time..he will sleep...ha ha ha kids never sleep when you expect them too!! We head back to Omaha..which was a quick trip with his speeding and silence. When we get home he says: You have 15 minutes go pack a cocktail dress and change of clothes!.....okay are we staying the night somewhere.....YES. Okay so the whole dress thing...that was fun...pregnant...FAT!! Yeah! I was able to find something. So I am packed and ready and still in my graduation outfit which he says I can' t change out of because it will take me too long to get ready, which is probably the truth. So then I am sitting in the truck waiting to go..and he is stalling....what the heck..then he starts drilling me about what I am taking. And then he says just go change you have 3 minutes...DEAL! So I am changed and then my friend Nikki calls and I am telling her how weird he is..and that I better go...no longer than 2 minutes go by and Dustin and Nikki pull into our driveway. Yep you guessed it we are going somewhere with them.
We head on the road to Bellevue to take Vinny to Aunt Shannon who has known about this trip for awhile and is going to watch Vinny. We say our good-byes and Chris speeds I mean speeds...we wont go into how fast. Lets just say you should have been worrying and praying for us...Nikki and I were!! A little bit into the trip I learn we are going to Kansas City, still unsure why. No one will tell me. We arrive and get told to get into our cocktail dresses...and then we are off. We went to a dinner-theatre show called Don't dress for dinner. It was a funny and great show. Then back to change and since I can't drink and Chris chooses not to, and the couple we were with drank a little too much at the concert they were at the previous night we went bowling...which I SUCK!! and yes I did try even though my husband says I did not. It was fun!

The next day we went for brunch and shopping for a few hours...Chris tells me I have no limit...and of course I find one stinking shirt! But Vinny on the other hand got some pretty cute clothes. It was a great surprise and wish it could have lasted just a little bit longer....love you honey

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Its my birthday today! Yeah...I'm 20 some years old. What a great day..not really I got stuck working my own birthday. I was able to go out to dinner last night and have a meal with Chris and some friends..and no kids. It was great. I ate way too much. At work they have a lovely birthday hat they are trying to get me to work...we will see! Nikki bought me a cake to help ease the pain...I think. Chris and Vincent are coming up to have lunch with me...so that will be nice.
Oh yeah....picture coming soon...we are 16 weeks and counting...and yes the belly is getting BIG...especially when I don't try and suck it in. Its weird with Vincent I couldn't wait to show...look like I was pregnant...and now...I just want to be skinny..longer! Oh well.. Let it come...I guess!
