ABC Christmas Programs

ABC had Christmas programs for both kids this year...different days of course...but oh so cute. Mia had just moved up to the 2year old room...so I didn't expect much from her...plus she doesn't have much for a vocabulary so.....yeah!

Anyways...so stinkin cute...here's Vincent waiting for the show to start...so grown up, he eventually had to give his seat up for actual grown ups!

Miss Mia...

The 2 year olds....in their Christmas production....

and then a couple days later...Vincent's class (4 year olds and the 3 year old classroom had another christmas program). Nana and Papa came up for this show. Vince was so excited for his christmas program. He knew all the songs. The video is so cute. Except it wont download. He sings the song..but doesn't want to get into with the actions...

Nana and Papa...pround grandparents...

Christmas prepartions 2011

In preparation for Christmas...a little Elf came to visit us. Daddy read the book that was sent to us by a very special person...
In the book it says that an Elf was sent to Vincent and Mia to watch over them and see if they are being good or bad and report back to Santa every night. The kids are not allowed to touch him and if they do he will loose his magic and not be able to Santa how good they are...and we know what that means! Well in the book it says once you find me...you need to name me and that's when my earn my magical powers to fly to North Pole! So we have to find the Elf..

Found him...

On the Shelf....

Vincent thought for few minutes and said....Elfabet...his name is Elfabet...

we said are you sure....

YEP!

ELFABET ...it is!

A couple days later...we decorated the house some more...so of course I tried to pose the kids..totally did not work...but got some cute pics messing around with lights

Army Christmas

Santa's here..Santa's here..... Mommy, Vincent and Mia waiting our turn to sit on Sgt Santa's lap and tell him what we want for Christmas...we can't wait...
Mia...watching and waiting so patiently.

Vincent telling Sgt Santa what he wants for Christmas...and tractor that mows....

but how are you going to get it down the chimney Santa?

must be having a real good conversation..I hope he is mentioning LISTEN to YOUR MOTHER

Santa and Vincent....don't they look a little similar :)

Mia....not a fan of Sgt. Santa..even though he must be whispering some kind words into her ear..she's not screaming...

and of course...some crazy ARMY guys always have to sit on Santa's lap too....

Daddy just being crazy....

Not many families were able to come this year...we made it to Hastings the day before the big snow storm hit..and were barely able to make it out the the armory. Chris came to my parents house and drove us out in our truck..thank goodness...if I were driving it...we would have been in a ditch...or back at the house. With Chris driving we DID make it there, even though we slid through the highway stop sign intersection nearly missing a car accident with a few cars....lots of ice and snow...then the roads out by the armory...were just drifts of snow...I would have never made it....God was with us when were dumb enough to drive in it!

Attempt at FUN family pics

It was a beautiful---gorgeous---wonderful---fall/winter day...and what better thing to do then to attempt Christmas pictures with the family. Sounded like a great plan...Chris picked the kids up..I had everything ready..change of clothes for them all in the car..camera..tripod..etc...off to the park we go. By the time we got to the park this it the scene we see. Beautiful sunset....yes that's right...sunset! So pictures were FUN!!!! FUN!!!! is that convincing you yet? and on top of that...it the weather was starting to change slightly...a chill.... The beginning pose....trail #1

Pick the kids up..show them some love...getting ready for the FUN STUFF

Mia: "Ahhhhhh"

Stretch for the #2

Using Aunt Carrie....must help!!! She likes to hold items and bear down...

and then the pucker up and push...and push...and sometimes you just got lay back into it....and sometimes even scoot backwards...you really should try it...
