I know I know...I am late in posting this...but...alright I was just lazy. We had a short but great Christmas. On Christmas Eve we drove to Hastings and stayed with my parents. Santa came early Christmas morning...and then we had our Christmas. Vincent had fun opening gifts and crawling in the the wrapping paper. Of course when he found something he wanted...he wanted it now. That afternoon we had Christmas with my mom's side of the family. It was really nice to see all of the family. Granny gave us a real neat book in memory of Uncle Todd. Chris and I really like the book...its unique! Vincent had fun playing with Bella and Caden..or should I say stealing their toys! And then before we knew it Christmas was over and we had to go back to Omaha. We had to work the next day. On the weekend we had Christmas with Chris's side of the family at our house. It was alot of fun. Cathy made her homemade lasagna's...to die for. It too was a great day surrounded by family. I think Vincent enjoyed Christmas...can't wait for next year.

Christmas Party!

Chris and I attended his Christmas Party on Friday night....it was very nice. I probably should have dressed up a little more...oh well. After the free drinks they offered when you got there..it didn't matter. So yes drinks were free...until a certain time. The food was great, a little bit of everything. Pasta, chicken, steak, salads...and desserts!! It was a great time. And best part...Vincent slept in to 9 am the next day..what a TREAT!!! (oh yeah that never happens its usually 7-7:30am..wake up call)

Cruise!!

Well...Chris and I somehow decided to take a cruise a long time ago...and the time finally came. We went home for Thanksgiving...and unfortunately we had to say good-bye to Vincent there. We packed him all up and left him with Grandma and Grandpa. I am sure he was spoiled. He had alot of new toys to play with since he birthday was just a week prior. It was very hard for mommy to say good-bye that night. I had to lay him down in bed and that was it until we returned. Tear..Tear...I know..I know a little emotional. It was my first time to leave him more that 20 hours...and this was for a week and half. Give me a break.
Chris and I packed all our summer wear...and headed to Florida. It was going to be a great time...we were going with friends of ours Nikki and Dustin and meeting other young couples down in Florida. Well things kind of started out bumpy right away..I had problems flying...was unable to get my ears to pop...instant pain. Come to find out I had a sinus infection starting...perfect timing...going on a cruise! Of course I called my mom for advice...she does work at a ENT office!! Cold and Sinus meds, some nasal stuff..and alcohol...I think I am ready to go!
We met alot of couples, and took a bus to the cruise ship..what an experience. Everyone was so ready to party that they started early..with bloody mary's, mimosa's, jello shots, rum cake...etc...wow! We arrived to the ship in one piece. Our room was nothing spectacular...in fact I have no pics of it. It was a bed to sleep in that is all that matters. Nikki and Dustin lucked out and had a huge suite with a balcony we enjoyed their view. The cruise itself was a lot of fun. There were several bars to go to..not all too busy..we usually started the crowd out in them..karaoke, swim contest..etc. We were able to visit Key West...for a long time. It was suppose to be a day trip and it turn into 2 days. Our ship had some problems in the mechanic room with the steering mechanism??? and were stuck until fixed..due to this we were unable to go to Cozumel...BUMMER!! In return they took us to Bahama's, which was okay..but no Cozumel. It was a fun trip..one to be remembered.
While we were in Key West we were able to enjoy the night life. We visited several bars including a Irish Pub with a singing comedian (whom Nikki got an interesting treat from), a dancing club, live rock band...that we Nikki and I were up on stage with...and Nikki sang with, and the guys jammed out to. To taking strange pictures with statues and Chris being the bartender on the ferry from land to our boat! Such fun...fun times!
After the boat was finally fixed we set sail for Bahama's..which was okay...Chris and I took another ferry to Atlantis...and enjoyed the ocean. Chris was able to find many many shells and interesting items. I stayed at the shore due to the ear thing!!! We really wanted to take the jet ski's to dolphin island but I was a little scared of getting my ear wet.
After all of the fun we experienced on the trip the flights home had to be just as interesting...so our first flight was delayed by almost an hour and half for a warning light of something...we actually had to take the plane back to the terminal...and then we thought we were going to be late for our next flight..made it there in time...the flight had been delayed by 30 minutes...thank god! Well then this plane and a fire light on or something...delayed for another 45 minutes...we blame all our BAD LUCK on Chris...he walked under the ladder in Key West rather than walk around it like the rest of us. Well the bad luck ended...our luggage successfully made it home! AND we were safe!
Vincent was shocked to see us that next morning..Chris and I were racing each other to his bedroom and arguing who got to go in first. We tied! It felt so great to see my little man...I missed him so much...and yes I did spoil him the next day..anything he wanted was his!!

Yep...since our child seems to be so active all the time..we figured why not get a bounce house...you know he can take all of his energy out right here...and we don't have to chase him around.....so far so good!!!

Present time!

Vincent loves to open his presents...he just gets a litte impatient at times... Checkin out the milk jug bowling that Unkie Jacob and Aunt Carrie gave him...already loves carrying the bowling cow ball around...and yes I already hate the dang sound that comes out of it...thank goodness for the off button...thanks Jacob!!

First birthday cake!

Vincent and his birthday cake...especially made by mom and dad. We had to make our own cake due to Vincent's allergies to milk and soy...all that hard work and he didn't even like it. He got frosting on his hand, tried to flick it off and then pushed the cake out of his way. Pushing the cake away, after touching it a little.

After another attempt of giving Vincent his cake...I cut him an actual piece, he tried a little...most of it came back out. I guess he doesn't like sweets. He didn't want his cake but love his broccoli right after that. Who knows!
