Vincent's first dentist appointment
I know...I'm late on his first dentist appointment...I have lots of excuses, but mainly I forgot...and forgot...and I will call later. So later finally came around. He was such a big boy and impressed the dentist. I said he had never been to a dentist before, nor seen what they do. But he did wonderful. They had games for him to play when you first come in the door, and then a train that goes all over on the ceiling...and cartoons to watch that play on the ceiling...he loved it.
The hygenist showing Vincent her cool toys...to clean teeth!
and the cleaning begins...
little washing out...if you look closely you can see his earphones on! He's watching Barney
He wanted to know what ....that kid was doing over there. So we went over there...it was xrays..he wanted to try...so here it goes.
Bite here please.
The dentist taking a look...Vincent giving him a little help...he had just let him see his little mirror.
Counting all those teeth!
Overall he did really great...but unfortunately has a cavity already...right in the middle of his two front teeth...which I already suspected. We are going to fix it in December with a little laughing gas, a shot and bingo.... at least thats what he made it sound like. So I will cross my fingers that it goes that smoothly. Halloween
Trick or Treat
the kids had so much fun...okay so Vincent had a lot of fun. I was able to get off work early this year, thanks to some great co-workers and take the little ones out for some fun. Vincent was really excited about the candy....go figure.
Here's Vincent..the sheriff is in town!
We went to a church nearby for the trunk or treat. The kids have to listen to them tell about a story-church related...and they get a treat. Most of them the kids have to interact, so its fun. In this one..Vincent had to help free him from the lions!
Here...he is shooting the king down...with marshmallows.
Aim...and shootOur trip to New Orleans
Our family was lucky enough to see Chris one more time before had to fly the big seas to deploy to Afghanistan. My parents, the kids and myself drove to Kansas City and flew to New Orleans...thank god my parents came with us. If they hadn't been I would have definatly broken down in the airport hauling everthing. We didnt check our carseats..due to last time flying with Vincent and they flew it somewhere else...oh well. The kids did very good on the flights. Mia slept the first one..guess she wasn't that impressed, and Vin rested a little too.
Southwest Airlines were very nice to us during our flights. I was trying to get a picture of Vincent and Mia and some of the flight crew...for scrapbooking and the pilot happened to walk out at the same time...and said bring them up here! So Vincent got to be a pilot for a few minutes...he LOVED it. Got to push buttons, pull levers...etc... Mia just watched.

The pilot and Mia
Vincent and his baby taking a short nap!
When we arrived to see Chris...of course Vincent got the first hug and kiss. It was ADORABLE, Chris said: hey there Bud! Vincent looked at me like...for real...so I said who is that..he responded with BIG eyes..Daddy! I said yep, still hesitant to go to him, Chris says come here bud...and off he goes into Daddy's arms. He was so excited to see him and didn't shut up forever! I don't think Chris realized how much he talks all the time now! From that time on...Chris was not allowed to do anything without Vincent...Mia on the other hand...was a little hesitant to go to Chris the first night...but she was also sleep deprived..off on naps..etc. The next day she warmed up to him. I miss him already!here they are brushing there teeth...ya think he misses daddy?
