Dress up with MIA

The other day I was on facebook and saw some adorable pictures of a friends baby and decided Mia needed some new pictures of her done as well. I would love to get professional pictures done again, but I have spent ALOT on pictures these last few months...so I will wait for awhile. So Mommy and Mia had a little photo session in her room with some of her fabric to make a blanket for her with. I think they turned out A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!Mommy's litte cheesy Miss Mia..rolls and all
Mmmm..mmmm she does love her hands

Is this how you want me pose????

I know I moved...but look how cute I am!

Found my hands again...they are soo soo good!

Mia's rough day

Mia has had a rough time lately. As most of you know she got RSV in December and was hospitalized for 3 days. We got better and then about a month later she started wheezing and coughing again. I took her to the doctor and she had RSV/bronchitis again. I already started the nebulizer treatments so we were on the right track. The doctor said that weekend could be very hard. That I was to try and keep her upright as much as possible and actually recommended me to sleep with her in the recliner. Chris was gone this weekend at his annual KU weekend with the guys....and Dr. Paradis told me to focus on Mia that this would probably be a sleepless weekend for me and that I needed to find someone to watch Vincent so I could focus on her. I might have just freaked out and stressed out and....oh you all know me. I wanted Chris home to help with our kids. My dad, brother and Cathy were willing to come over...I dont know. So Chris came home and I think things instantly improved or maybe I just relaxed. Shannon came over and took Vincent to the Children's musuem so that was a nice break. Mia survived the night next to me..upright in her bouncy chair. She did get a breathing treatment in the night too. It was a very long weekend. Mia....too tired to even play with her toys...
Mia...experienced with the breathing treatment, decided to hold it herself!

So a couple days later (Tues) daycare calls to tell me that Vincent ---yep you heard right Vincent needs to come home he has pink eye! Oh Yippi Skippi things are just getting better every day. Mia hadn't improved so I made appointments for both kids. Confirmed Vincent had pink eye and received eye drops for 5 days. Now Miss Mia had a double ear infection and her lungs sounded like crap...they placed her on amoxicillin and steroids with nebulizers still. Then comes Friday...Vincent is better, but Miss Mia still is still in good humor (as she has been the whole time she has been sick) is still wheezing and coughing. Our friend Nikki came over to hang out and made me take Mia to the doctor. Her ear infection has got worse and lungs still wheezing. So we got an xray...not pneumonia (that's good) but looking like bronchitis. Ears are bright red..and she did not like the cleaning the wax out. Her face turned bright red and that is the loudest I have ever heard her cry. We changed to Omnicef and continued nebulizer. All fun stuff!

Vin and Mia's new adventures

It was probably a long time in coming...we broke out the exersaucer and let me enjoy playing with loud toys. She has had good head control for a long time and sits with assistance really good..I just really didn't want to give and let her grow up....
For the most party I think she likes it. She has learned how to press the buttons..the loud ones already. And if she doesn't do it, Vincent helps her out with it. He has got in trouble a handful of times for climbing it and playing like a baby.Ohhh..

And there is Vincent and his newest adventure....HAIR STYLING! Chris just loves all these little things about Vincent...first the constant cleaning, obsessed about the vacuum, then doing dishes and laudry, dressing the baby, nursing the baby and pumping, shopping with his pink purse and NOW doing mommy's hair. It was not my favorite time at the hairstylist...he was a little rough..
Making mommy pretty
If you put this here and then fluff here...you should look beautiful!
Just adding a little clip here

Just some things

Just some random pictures while we were home visiting.
Great Grandma and MiaVincent is really trying to play with Mia and she doesn't play back as much as he would like. He gave her his baby (my old baby doll) for her to play with. He was helping the baby give Mia kisses and told Mia to kiss her back. It was cute and then it got a little rough. After that he decided that he wanted to take pictures of Mia and her baby..I helped him aim..but he did all the phototaking! Can't you just feel the love!

If anyone has seen Vincent nap...he is know for putting his hands behind his head and falling asleep like that...it is so cute. It may only last a few minutes or the entire nap...which his hands would have to be asleep after that. Mia did it the other day...on her own during her nap.
Unkie Jake giving Mia her breathing treatment while we were home visiting. I think he was having more fun with it then Mia was. He made her dance and jiggle and maybe even giggle!

Mia's Baptism

Mia's Baptism
Jan 24, 2010
Mia was became a child of God...Baptised a couple of weeks ago...it was a great..short ceremony at our church in Hastings. Pastor Adams blessed her. Nikki, a close friend of ours who loves Mia very much...honored us and was her Godmother. Tony was lucky enought to be in town visiting when she decided she was ready to come...and so it was only fair we grant him to be her Godfather. We thank and appreciate both of them taking on this responsibilty.

Hanging out with friends

We went to Hastings for the weekend for Mia's Baptism..and here we are at dinner at the Bulls-eye...don't we look like we are having a great time...everyone was on their phone.... Dustin and Nikki
