Shea and Brynn's wedding

One of my best friends got married in May..and yes I am just getting around to posting it..it has been kinda a hectic few months with Chris home on leave, then him leaving again, getting in the swing of single motherhood again..and then preparing for him to come home again. Anyways part of the trip to Texas was to see this wedding...which was absolutely b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. It was a villa...with a huge waterfall...overlooked a mountainess area, stone statues...spiders...and yes I said spiders...but they were nice!!! Oh just gorgous. Chris and I had a wonderful time. It was so good to see my best friends from highschool/college. Miss them...

The only regret of the night...I had to get dressed in the car...due to some heavy volumes of traffic..so didn't really know what I looked like...wish I would have worn the other dress!

Texas...

While Chris was home on leave...his R&R, we took a little trip to Texas to see family and to attend a wedding of a close friend of mine. So we ventured out on that dreaded drive to Texas...kids and all. Chris's mom and sister Mandy followed us in their car. We drove down there all at one time...Chris showed off and drove the whole way, when it was my turn...I didn't feel so well. (for real)! We arrived in Texas and Tyson and Shannon's house at 4am...and of course the kids were up at 8am! Luckily its HOT in Texas and Shannon and Tyson took the kids out to a little pool for a couple of hours to let us try and sleep a little. The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave. Harley and Vince are such good friends it broke my heart to leave them.

While Chris was home on leave...we did take some Mommy and Daddy time and went out. It was a good time..a little bit of normalcy back in our lives. We had a great dinner at Crave with friends Nikki and Dustin...of course followed by Coldstone Icecream. Gotta still the kisses when ya can

Daddy comes home for R&R

We were so excited for Daddy to come home...we were getting everything ready...including cleaning his truck. We surprised him with a truxedo for his truck...he definately was shocked...and maybe even a little confused for a few moments....the smile on his face was great! Vin helped his truck look nice.... Then we made a poster to hang up in the door..it was suppose to say Welcome Home Daddy! But Vin didn't want me to "color" on it...so it said welcome daddy...and then I forgot to fix it...oh well I am sure he didn't mind.

We also cleaned the whole house and mowed the lawn...but I am sure he didnt really notice the small things like that.

There's daddy...Vin is so cute....he saw him and about 4 other soliders get off at the same time...I said there's daddy...he looked at me...looked back down...looked at me with a great big smile...just ancy. I then was like do you want to go see daddy..he quickly responds by shaking his head yea...but then doesn't move...as if he is scared...or maybe he just didn't know from a distance which one was daddy. So when he got a little closer I pointed daddy out ....and off running he went. I thought I got it on video...but oops...didn't push the button hard enought to record...little pissed off about that!

Mia...little different story. She didn't want Chris right away...no kisses no hugs...just checked him over. About an hour after he had been home..we went to dinner. Mia warmed up to him..and let him play games with her. By the end of dinner he was allowed (by Mia) to pick her and carry her without her complaining..from there it just got better.
