Carving Pumpkins

After having the pumpkins for awhile now...we decided it was time to carve the pumpkins...and of course...Vincent had to be included. I thought he would love playing in the goo...but he didn't really care. He would rather naw on the pumpkin itself. So...Chris and I helped him get messy for the pictures... YUMMMM....pumpkin!!!
Just making sure its a good one for you!!! Is there anything left in there?

Watch what I can do...bet you I can eat it all..that is if you let me!

Freaky...Freaky picture!! Some how in the movement...Vincent's arm disappeared. Just had to show you all.

Over all it was pretty fun..,.Chris and I of course finished the carving...I cheated and used stencils. Chris did his own. I will hopefully get pictures later.

Well we went back to Dr. Paradis the next day after the ER visit...she thought he sounded horrible that day...and I was like...that's nothing compared to yesterday. I think she was shocked they didn't keep him in the hospital. She informed me that alot of kids with conditions like his would be hospitalized by now....of course she threw in..because you are nurse I will let you try a little longer at home with medicatons first. So here we are...We are on pulmicort inhalations, albuterol inhalations, antibiotics, another steriod, sigulair, prevacid...I think that may be it...I would have to check THE LIST!! So as of now we are trying to get better and avoid the hospital. He has started to refuse baby food and table food, all but grahm crackers and puffs! He can not live on that alone..so we will give him a couple days and re-evaluate. Of course the ear tube surgery is off...again...for the third time!

ER visit

First of all..I know I am asking for a few prayers...but I don't think that is too much to ask. My mom, aunt and Granny had the lovely experience of taking the train from Hastings to New York this past couple of days...they said it was an experience. Granny is having some more test done on her lungs as a second opinion from the Nebraska doctors. We are hoping the outcome is good. So keep her in your prayers. Now on to my second prayer request. Vincent as we all know has been fighting illness after illness for the past couple months. Chris was out of town this weekend for drill...and well of course Vincent decided he should in return get sick again. Oh but this time was even more fun for us all. He currently on antibiotics and albuterol nebulizer treatments for his last illness...when he decided to start coughing and becoming short of breath. I had to work this Sunday...and I left him in great hands with Aunt Shannon. Well Shannon phoned me at work in the afternoon...saying he is wheezing and coughing non stop...seems like he just ran a marathon when he walks across the room. So after making several phone calls...we ended up in the ER. Since I was at work I had Shannon bring into the ER..and I met them there. Vincent was audible wheezing..but of course was happy little Vinny! The ER gave him an albuterol treatment just like what we do at home...it worked for about a half-n-hour and the wheezing started again. After about 45 minutes to an hour of no one checking on him...I called the nurse and let her know he was wheezing again. So they do another treatment and schedule him for a xray....which takes FOREVER!! Guess what happens he starts wheezing again..so they give him an oral medicine to help open the bronchials....no change by the time we leave. Other than my child is very sleep deprived now..and yes still wheezing. So to sum it all up...we left in the condition we came...and I am NOT happy about it. They told us if it got worse to come back in...whats worse I ask....if he is lethargic or turning colors???? Very upset! So we are going to talk to our doctor today and make a plan. He may be happy all the time...but wheezing constantly is not okay!! So this is my second prayer...Vincent!!

It was Will and Sarah's costume birthday party today. Vincent dressed up as a pirate. Their were lots of neat costumes....cats, bees, witches, an octopus, ragedy ann, spiders, butterflies, skunks, hotdog, tootsie roll...and more. We had a lot of fun! Vincent met his new friend Vincent #2. Here they are together. I forget how big Vinny is getting until he is next to a baby. Vincent #2 in almost 3 months old. His mommy is Cally and works with me.
Some of the kids dressed up. Cole (spider) Kenadee (cat) Vincent (pirate)

Big Red Barn

Vincent in his suit...after his meet and greet with the cement!

Vincent at the Big Red
Barn!

Vincent and his first time around a goat...not sure what to think!

BOOOO....Daddy and Vincent

Vincent getting up close to the baby goat...he might be friendly after all.

We had an interesting and funfilled weekend. On Saturday the whole family went to Licoln for a friends wedding...Katie and Luke Kessler. We had a good time....well for the most part. Vincent has now been walking for about a month and half...so getting pretty stable on the transition shoes. So a couple days ago I had him walk in big boy hard-sole shoes. He did pretty well. So at the wedding we had him in his adorable little suit with big boy shoes. Well outside he saw some leaves blowing away...which he had never seen before and decided to try and chase after them. Cute idea at first, but then this cute idea turned into a disaster with chasing the leaves on a slight downhill cement path...and of course what happens....Vincent topples over...feet over face right onto the cement. His poor little nose got all skinned up! So the whole night at the reception he had a bright red nose. Which the next day looked even worse when the bruise and all the fun colors show up! Poor little guy! He doesn't seem to mind it though...such a tough man.
On Sunday when we returned from Lincoln the family went to the Big Red Barn! It was lots of fun. Vincent loved walking around...playing with the hay, corn cernals and of course the petting zoo. At first he was a little scared of the animals and then he didn't want to leave. He looked so adorable in his fall festive shirt...and his skinned nose. I swear we do watch our child...he just has NO FEAR!!!

The Crud!!!

Well...the crud is back!! This past weekend Shannon, Vincent and I were all blessed with good ole' fashion flu! To make matter worse this all occured on Chris's birthday. What a fun birthday present! It was a very long day for all of us. Chris was able to go out for a little bit that evening with some guys for his birthday and a bachelor party for one of his army guys. That night ended early for him as well...some of the guys were wrestling...guy thing..army thing. And well Joe broke his leg so Chris accompanied him to the ER....what a great weekend for Chris.
On Monday Vincent seemed to be done with the BIG puking episodes but still sounded like crap...coughing and gagging easily, so we went to see the doctor. I was a little nervous about him since we were scheduled for ear tube placement on Wednesday. Well the tubes are put on hold. Dr. Paradis said he sounds the worst she has ever heard him. He as a sinus infection with bilateral ear infection and bronchialitis. He is now on albuterol-nebulizer treatments and antibiotics again. Seems to be our story lately. For approximately the last 2-3 months Vincent is one antibiotics...gets better and then a week later is sick again..just to repeat the process. Dr. Paradis is getting worried about him...since he isn't outgrowing his food allergies that maybe he has other allergies as well. If he gets one more cold or similar symptoms after this episode, we are going to have to start some long term therapy to hopefully prevent full blown asthma. Alot of changes have been made now. Hopefully all of our family will support us in these changes. Vincent deserves a break!! Dr. Paradis would like us to have allergy tested for numerous things..food, pets...etc. So we will keep you all updated when we finally have his tubes placed and whatever else...till then pray that our little man catches a break!

Video update

So I didn't have room on the other blogs to put the videos on, so here they are....

Shannon and Vincent were chasing each other around...having a blast..

Vincent has now learned how to crawl up onto the furniture by himself...if he wants to. Most of the time he just moans and whines until we lift him up there. He loves playin on the furniture...just falling and jumping..whatever. Cheap entertainment.

Vincent was chasing Charlie around all morning...and Charlie was actually allowing it. I was able to get a little of it on video.

FUN

Vincent playing on his Lion...well kind of...I was pushing him around the house, but he enjoyed it.
Irish and Vincent with their presidential pins!!! Who do we support??
Vincent feeding himself his morning bottle.
Uncle Tyson and Vincent playing...well I think they are playing!!

So since I got behind..you haven't missed much. Uncle Irish came to visit for our friends Jenni and Mandy committment ceremony. It was a good time for everyone. Chris and I were able to enjoy part of the night without Vincent. Irish was able to see Vincent for a little while too. We miss having him around.
Vincent, myself and Aunt Shannon all got the flu this weekend. I am pretty much done with the nasty stuff...just have a bad head cold now. Shannon is feeling better. But poor Vincent continues to puke all over. IT SMELLS!! But in between the bad puking sessions..he is the happiest boy.
We found out yesterday that a co-worker of Tami's was in a car accident. They were hit by a drunk driver. Her and her daughter are in the ICU's...we are praying for them, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Chris and his mom having been working on the house alot. The basement now has all the drywall up..and mud. We are just in the process of sanding. So now more dusting the house until that is done...HA HA HA!!! Chris is finishing up our staircase banister. It looks wonderful.
Well I am sure I had more to tell you...but I forget!!

Pretty Harley

Cousin Harley got her ears pierced...aren't they pretty. Auntie Shannon made Uncle Tyson hold her during the painful parts...and they Auntie Shannon loved her up after it. Kids grow up so fast....not long and Vincent will be 1 year old. Mommy and Daddy are already planning his party...or at least what we want to get him. I have been kind of slacking on all the updates. I have lots of pictures to put on...but somehow misplaced the cords to connect the camera to the computer. So until I find it again...I guess I will just give you updates with no pictures...I know, I know the pictures make it fun. I promise they are coming. As for the Marcello family. Chris got promoted to his E6 in the army. We are very proud of him. He returned from Louisana in good shape and saw some very interesting things and people down there. Fun stories have been told. Vincent continues to grow and grow...well maybe not...he is so active, walking or should I say trying to run around the house I think he burns more calories than he consumes. He love to have friends over. Leela came over and played for awhile last week. Vincent of course pulled her hair, and attacked her...she doesn't fight back like Harley. Harley has officially learned some of her own techniques to fight off Vincent...the destroyer...bulley! We still had a great time. He also went to Fremont to visit Kenadee. He enjoyed his time there, walking all over and playing with their cool toys. Somehow Kenadee's pacifier and sippy cup were much more interesting than his own...go figure! He just continues to shock and impress me every day. As for me...well nothing new...wish there was!!!
