The process of making Vincent a birthday cake ....was a challenge. First we had to go to the store and pick out the batter and frosting...sprinkles for both....he picked. Then on his birthday we were going to make it that morning...dumb me forgot the eggs...so off to the store to get eggs. Vincent was a big helper, he pretty much made his cake.
Adding his special ingredients!
Testing his creation...
So he made the cake batter...into the pan in went...into the oven...timer set...mommy in bathroom to shower and get ready for his birthday day...and Nana to watch the cake and timer. Approx 1 hour later...and 20 some minutes over cooked...the cake was remembered and taken out of the oven...it was just a little darker than normal.

I sat the cake on the table, and went to get the frosting...and came back to see....Vincent had taken a handful of the cake (the middle section) out for testing...we tried to shove it back in and cover it with frosting. The cake was just kinda falling apart..since over cooked.
Here's Vincent frosting...
